We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments.
Where required, the individual will also be expected to provide administrative and client support to the bulk of payroll bureau clients for the wider business.

Bookkeeper job duties include working closely with our accounting team to create and analyse financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments.
Our ideal candidate holds an AAT qualification in Accounting or Bookkeeping at Level 3 4 and is familiar with accounting software packages, like Xero, Quickbooks, Zoho Books, Capium and KashFlow.
Whilst much of this role relates to the day to day bookkeeping services for small to medium sized businesses, a successful candidate will obtain exposure to other types of accounting such as fund and pension scheme accounting.
Although previous experience in this area is desirable, it is not required.
Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
Answer and assist with periodic questions from the payroll bureau department
Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, supplier’s ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
Bring the books to the trial balance stage
Perform partial checks of the posting process
Complete tax forms
Enter data, maintain records and produce reports and financial statements
Process accounts receivable / payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
Complete Periodic Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Maintain contact between senior accountants as well as those within accounting departments
Proven bookkeeping and payroll experience
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable / receivable principles
Experience or willingness to learn and understand tasks associated to a Management Accountant (such as journals and balance sheet reconciliations)
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
Data entry skills along with a flair for numbers
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
Proficiency in English and in MS Office
Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
Previous experience in an accounting firm will be an added advantage
