CrossBoundary is recruiting a full-time Global Communications & Content Manager to establish CrossBoundary as a leading influencer in our field and in service of our mission.
You will direct messaging across the CrossBoundary Group’s communication platforms, identify opportunities to build our brand, and be responsible for developing our team into more effective communicators.

Content Development and Distribution
Create an overarching content strategy to build CrossBoundary’s influence and impact through our global communications platforms, defining how traditional media, digital media, and social platforms will contribute
Plan and oversee specific campaigns for investors, institutions, and clients
Create and manage a content calendar, scheduling campaigns, and other initiatives
Write clear, concise, and engaging website content and other public messaging
Produce multimedia stories about our work through videos, infographics, and photos
Draw out insights from our teams and coach them through translating these into compelling content
Set targets and monitor data on interactions to identify ways to increase engagement
Lead implementation of CrossBoundary’s social media strategy through regular monitoring, scheduling, and posting of content and interacting with users and content relevant to our work
Manage and utilize our firm-wide contacts database (Cloze) for communications
Collaborate with clients, partners, and other external stakeholders to develop aligned messaging
Hire and manage any external media, event coordination, or public relations vendors required
Manage end-to-end workflow of content from conception through to production
Set objectives with senior leadership for building firm culture through internal communications
Design and draft internal firm updates including leadership announcements and project updates
Reinforce the CrossBoundary brand and voice comes across through all communications, written and verbal
Support transparency across offices worldwide by designing how to share company updates in a timely, relevant, and engaging manner
Promote collaboration and dialogue across teams by introducing diverse methods, tools, and channels for interaction
Identify opportunities for better internal communication, including establishing feedback channels
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications
Extensive list of media contacts in frontier markets and the private equity, international business, or international development fields
Awareness of and proficiency using new media platforms (i.e. mobile, YouTube)
Familiarity with search engine optimization and web traffic metrics
User Interface design experience
Grammatically flawless English writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
Intuitive writer writing clearly, concisely, and persuasively is effortless for you
Experience managing social media platforms
Outstanding PowerPoint presentation skills, including the ability to illustrate concepts visually
Strong relationship-building skills
Team player who seeks out collaboration within the company and with external partners
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong organizational skills
Independent worker with who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Flexible, Nairobi or DC preferred, with frequent travel
