The successful candidate will lead the strategy and identify, expand andprioritize volume development opportunities within assigned internationalmarket.
He / she will be responsible to achieve or exceed the budgeted salesplan, including the development of new markets in Africa.
In addition, he / shewill provide team leadership for the Africa team to ensure the team’s quarterlyand annual sales targets and new market openings are consistently met.
Thisrole initiates and develops effective relationships with key customers tomaximize growth and market share and partners with customers to identifycategory and trend opportunities for increasing sales.
This position willreport to the VP of International Sales.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage sales promotional budget for assignedinternational business segment.
Direct and develop a sales team with timely feedbackto modify and improve performance standards ensuring the delivery of monthlyvolume targets.
Provide weekly reports on the status of internationalsales volume, sales performance and various solutions to pending challenges inthe market.
Work with the regional managers in the development ofnew markets in Africa and continuously assess the performance of currentpartners.
Create KPI’s, while tracking and focusing on valuedrivers (distribution, displays, flavours, and package development).
Coordinate with Marketing and Strategy departments tounderstand key market dynamics.
Initiate, establish and develop key retail andcustomer relationships to maximize growth and market share.
Collaborate with internal Legal resources to ensureaccurate and timely revisions of rolling contracts and negotiation of newcontracts.
Attend and support the planning of periodic(quarterly) sales meetings.
Create and communicate plan goals for the upcomingyear with international sales team.
7-10 years’ experience in a Director level - leading asales or marketing team in Africa’s markets for consumer products or beverageswith a thorough understanding of market drivers for consumable products.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Preferred.
Sales leadership experience in coaching aninternational sales team.
Excellent communication skills, including presentationand training ability.
Ability to work with different levels of managementwithin the organization.
Financial and analytical abilities managing salesmetrics, promotional budgets.
Self-starter and able to work independently.
Results-oriented, attention to detail with a sense ofurgency.
Bilingual English / French (Written and verbal fluencyin French and English).
Ability to travel 50% of the time locally andquarterly international travel.
Advanced Microsoft Office Experience.
Monthly gross salary : Competitivepackage.
