iMove, the Sanofi VIE Program, is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

PLEASE NOTE that applications that are only submitted in French cannot be considered by our non-French speaking partners at Sanofi worldwide.

We are looking for a candidate for a VIE mission of :

Finance Business Partner - VIE Contract (W / M)

Job Purpose :

The Finance Business Partner will be accountable for overseeing the Internal Control programs for the affiliate as documented by the Internal Control Manual.

This role will be critical to ensure Internal Controls are optimized to maximize the value over the end to end process for related stakeholders.

The person will also assist in budgeting and forecasting processes and preparation of Budgets and forecasts packages, providing monthly dashboard on financial performance, tracking Sales out numbers, Monthly Reporting and analysis, Data analytics for decision making, driving Commercial offers and tender financial impacts evaluations for approvals, Liaison with Africa region controlling team and responding to their queries and any other financial projects that are required.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead Business Partner and interface to Process Owners / Control owners within end to end process, Global Business Unit / Global Support Functions (GSF) / Country specific stakeholders.
  • Accountable to ensure implementation of the full scope of the Internal Control Manual including Mandatory, Severe Impact Controls.
  • Leads Internal Control Campaigns for Self-Assessments, Design Effectiveness, Updates of any process documentation, and Operational effectiveness testing as needed.
  • Support the business in updates to policies, controls, and process improvement projects, system implementations as well as exception requests, etc.
  • Effective management of control gaps / action plans with appropriate coordination and leadership escalation - Ensure stakeholder awareness and buy in to action to resolve control gaps.
  • Maximize value to stakeholders through process improvement ideas to build a more sustainable / simplified control environment Lead / support projects through implementations as needed.
  • Develop financial knowledge of budget holders and define review processes to support effective prioritization of investment / spend activities.
  • Co-ordinate the Forecasting and Business Planning exercises.
  • Assist in evaluation of investment / commercial opportunities and resource allocation decisions.
  • Interact regularly with GSF’ controllers to ensure strong linkage between global functions and affiliate.
  • Co-ordinate and review month-end process.
  • Monitor results against forecast / budget and provide accurate, timely financial management information and commentary.
  • Evaluate and highlight risks to performance.
  • Requirements :

  • The position requires a finished Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance or Internal Control.
  • Professional qualifications in Finance e.g. Cost Per Action (CPA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in a related role.
  • Professional skills / attitude and behavior requested.
  • Proficient in computer skills; Microsoft advanced Office (especially MS Excel) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Presentation skills.
  • High degree of analytical skills with keen attention to details.
