As legal advisor to the company, the counsel will provide legal guidance on any number of operational, financial, or administrative scenarios the company faces.
They will serve as the company’s representative for all legal matters in which the company is implicated.

Job Description

Monitor legal risk in documentation and advise management appropriately
Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for real estate transactions
Draft and negotiate real estate transactions
Draft routine leases and amendments
Ensure appropriate approvals are in place for real estate transactions
Manage regulatory and compliance related services
Represent the company in purchases and sales of properties
Support legal and advisory needs of large real estate portfolios
Conduct due diligence, including title work
Coordinates and engages with outside counsel on legal matters, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized learning institution
Admission to the Kenyan Bar Association
Minimum of Four years’ in a similar role

Strong working knowledge of litigation, lease transactions and property management

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Excellent interpersonal skills
Good verbal and written communication and public speaking skills
