Our company is in need of a senior accountant who will be part of growth of the company.

His or her duties involves the following
Preparing accounting statements, reports and analyses to chief accountant to aid in decision making and implementation of financial decisions that is Trial Balance, Cash-flow reports Creditors Aging, Bank and Cash book reconciliation and Input Vat Report.
Undertaking timely and accurate posting of expenses to profit and cost center’s that’s supplier invoices and petty cash expenses.
Submitting Input Vat by 15th of every Month to the head of department.
Paying payroll expenses to the bank and ensuring passing of the journal to clear the same from balance sheet.
Ensuring all item related purchases have a Purchase order (PO) and GRPO as they are received to the store signed and approved.
Ensuring posting of invoices is done as per the GRPO to the system and the same reconcile with the suppliers statement.
Handling import documentation and payment for consignment paid in advance.
Reviewing and monitoring all aspects of Balance Sheet and ensuring all Balance Sheet items are reconciled on a regular basis.
Doing monthly bank reconciliation
Reviewing all outgoing payments. Ensuring verification of payment vouchers, petty cash vouchers and suppliers’ invoices in compliance with organizational rules and regulations.
Filing of company tax returns i.e. PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, VAT and INCOME TAX and ensuring statutory payments are done on time
Monitoring customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, generate age analysis other irregularities.
Reconciling inventory accounts to the general ledger; verifying accurate costs to inventories·
Assisting in the improvement of internal controls related to inventory; reviewing monthly stock gains / losses and ensuring they are within the territory
Maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
We are looking for a candidate who is CPA K with a Bachelor of commerce / administration though not a Must
A candidate who has great intergrity and good communication skills
The ideal candidate must be able to Multi-task and comprehend skills easily
The ideal candidate should be in a position to manage staff implement policies and improve the profitability of a company all while cutting cost
