PURPOSE OF THE ROLE :

Claims adjudication including receipt, review and processing for Auto claims.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Responsible for resolving claims; coverage determinations, investigation, verification and analyzing data to determine entitlement of claims;
  • ensuring claims validity; accurate payments and reserves set up; maintenance of claims files and records; communications with claimants (directly), reporting for brokers and insured’s as required;
  • and settlement of claims fairly and promptly.

  • Provide excellent customer service; ensure delivery of existing service level agreements and loss assessment of auto claims.
  • Deliver best-in-class assistance to insureds clients throughout the claims process while directing cases to satisfactory resolutions.
  • Ensure that motor repair estimation is received from garages and or assessors in accordance with the claims survey report and completed with the required information
  • Deliver prompt and equitable claims settlements.
  • Posting accurate timely reserves for each claim handled, ensure updated timely based on the development of the claim; and review entire assigned portfolio on regular basis to ensure overall reserve adequacy.
  • Vigorously pursue necessary claim documents.
  • Maintain a close coordination with the agencies / garages and brokers.
  • Report on market feedback (i.e. any potential problem with a particular type of vehicle model, garage and agency) to the claims manager.
  • Identify claims with potential recovery
  • Attend to third party material damage claims in line with set procedures
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in commerce (Insurance option preferable)
  • Diploma in Insurance CII or ACII
  • Excellent technical knowledge of General Insurance products
  • EXPERIENCE :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in handling Auto claims
  • Multinational working experience
  • SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent communication skills to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure
