The Sales Coordinator role is the first point of contact between the Company and the general public.

3. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1 Sales & Marketing Activities
Receiving incoming sales inquiries with the following objectives :
Conduct Stage 01 Client Fact Find to determine needs and the appropriate channels and staff to service those needs;
Introducing the organization Unique Selling Proposition (USP) to new clients;
Provide a professional and courteous first impression to new potential clients;
Lead distribution : manage and assign incoming divisional leads to the Sales Team in the appropriate departments (by phone, email, referral or any other lead entry channels);
Ensures all follow-ups are carried out at arranged times with clients by the sales team as per the defined TAT rate;
Strives to meet the required MIS reports as per the set deadlines;
Identify and communicate strategies for New Lead Generation;
Participate in Outbound Client Engagement Projects, including phone surveys, promotions and announcements.
To carry out project work as defined by Marketing Manager initial project to be implemented data clean-up of customer database.
3.2 Client Servicing & Administration
Understand the requirements of each lead enquiry, individual / corporate, through a fact-find mechanism as defined within the sales process;
Deal with queries from clients and ensure adequate information is provided on time;
Refer clients to other departments of the organization, i.e. general insurance and financial services for cross sell purposes;
Effectively portray the organization’s image in front of the client by presenting information in the form of oral briefing, distributing literatures, email etc.;
Conduct client validation to access the compatibility of client s profile with the organization;
Provide administrative assistance to the Marketing Manager on various projects as required;
3.3 Relationship Management
Build and maintain relationships with the Sales team and contact points in Insurance companies and other departments within the organization;
Build and maintain relationships with clients as needed with the objective of facilitating the sales process between the client and Sales team members.
3.4 Self-Learning &Development
Gain a comprehensive understanding of the Insurance industry / practices and the business community in the UAE and / or Kenya;
Engage in training sessions on a regular basis as required and communicated by the HOD;
3.5 Knowledge Management
Ensure all paperwork is in meticulous order and complies with all management information and reporting requests and compliant with all Company ISO 9001 and legal / regulatory requests;
3.6 Team Work
Participate in all internal New Business initiatives and product promotions as requested and directed;
Extend and participate in the pursuit of all new business securing activities as directed by the Marketing Manager and Management of the organization;
Build and maintain cohesive relations with other departments and colleagues of the organization;
Support and encourage team spirit within the organization through your skills, experience and knowledge.
3.7 Confidentiality & Ethics
Ensure full compliance with the companies third party non solicitation policy which prohibits the earning of fees through third party channels not connected with the company;
Protection of the company at all times in relation to database, IP, secrets and strategy, sensitive information which may not be discussed with anyone outside of the company;
Ensure all sensitive client information remains confidential;
Ensure unethical ways and means of other team members are appropriately reported to the concerned personnel.
3.8 Technology Management
Use only the hardware and software systems as provided by the company for all communications, information and data storage purposes;
Ensure client database is updated in a timely manner and is correct and up to date as per the defined processes and internal benchmarks;
Ensure quality standards set are adequately followed within the area of operations under your profile.
3.9 To take reasonable care for the health and safety of self and others who may be affected by acts or omissions related to your work.
Co-operate fully with the management of the Company with regard to any duty or requirement imposed on them by the relevant Health and Safety legislation to allow that duty or requirement to be carried out or complied with.
3.10 Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities considered appropriate by the management of the Company.
4. QUALIFICATIONS AND / OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Pre-requisites : Qualifications :
Minimum Secondary School educated. Ideally with a Marketing qualification to Diploma level.
2-3 years of minimum experience in Customer Service, Insurance or administration.
Ideal background would be in Sales, Customer Service and administration; experience of dealing in insurance products would be particularly desired.
Language Proficiency (S / R / W / U) :
Proficient in English with ability to speak, read, write and understand efficiently. Arabic would be an advantage.
Job Knowledge Requirement :
Knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, advanced Excel, Outlook, Power Point.
Understanding of digital marketing would be an advantage.
Ability to multi-task and be organized.
