Reporting to : GROUP FINANCIAL & PLANNING DIRECTOR
Role Objective :
Oversee network management, software development and network security to cover all sites;
Management of the ICT Department
Responsible for ICT governance and formal controls over IT systems
Updating ICT disaster recovery plans
Updating of ICT Governance Framework
ICT budget, project, strategic and network capacity planning
Enforce and updating of IT policies
Liaise with ICT Service Providers and Vendors
Management of Service Level Agreements (SLA)
Legalization of all software
Responsible for support and maintenance of six sites ICT infrastructure
Responsible for support and maintenance of ICT Core Platform
Maintaining the standards for server installations and applications
Support, maintain and monitoring of all application / file servers
Supporting Environment (Windows 2008 servers, mail servers, SQL, VMware, Linux servers
Administration and support of the LAN / WAN infrastructure
Support and maintain Active Directory end users
Networking and Security on ICT Infrastructure (Monitoring the performance of the network and access control to the network) HO and Site firewalls monitoring and hardening, Antivirus administration
Ensure Backups and backup test restores
Responsible for procurement of new hardware and software to ensure systems meet existing standardization requirements)
Key Responsibilities :
1. Systems control and security
Manage all systems controls and security, reporting all incidents to the Diretors
2. Managing the IT team
Supervise and coordinate the IT Officers in their daily activities;
Coordinate and plan farm trips for IT department.
3. Manage information technology and computer systems
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of computer and IT related systems within the company;
Meet with managers to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines;
Hire and / or manage information systems personnel and contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems;
Control the computer systems budgets and expenditures.
4. Ensure information and communication technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software
Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system;
Be familiar with all hardware and software;
Be familiar with network operating system;
Provide orientation to new users of existing technology;
Train staff about potential uses of existing technology;
Train staff about new and potential use;
Provide individual training and support on request;
Provide recommendations about accessing information and support;
Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources;
Design, update and monitor the company web-site and the company social networks pages.
5. Monitor and maintain technology to ensure maximum access
Troubleshoot all technology issues;
Maintain log and / or list of required repairs and maintenance;
Make recommendations about the purchase of technology resources;
Research current and potential resources and services;
Provide network access to approved staff and visitors (if necessary);
Install work stations;
Connect and set up hardware;
Load all required software;
Provide network accounts and passwords as required;
Monitor security of all technology;
Input and maintain IP addresses;
Advise staff of security breach and / or change in password or security status;
Identify and prepare hardware for disposal when appropriate.
6. Other duties :
Fingertec biometric user and data management;
QuickBooks data backup;
Access databases backup and data updates
Coordinate all computers, networks, and servers at H.O.
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisor, manager or senior management.
