Job Summary

Responsible for the Management of the entire sales process and personnel within the sales department

  • Minimum Qualification : Bachelor
  • Experience Level : Senior level
  • Experience Length : 3 years
  • 1. RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Achieving growth and sales targets by successfullymanaging the sales team
  • Ensuring company sales procedures are followed andadhered to by both the sales staff and customers in accordance with our salespolicy.
  • Designing and implementing a strategic business plan thatexpands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.
  • Take the leadin the development of the annual company sales and marketing plan for approvalby Directors.
  • Responsiblefor the development of the sales annual budget and accountability for theutilization of the same.
  • Implement the annual company sales plan by developing regional actionplans for the different regions in line with their unique characteristics andrequirements
  • In line withthe developed company sales plan, set individual and regional sales targets forthe sales team and lead towards the achievement of the set targets.
  • Establishingsales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for Areasand Regions; projecting expected sales volumes and profit for existing and newproducts.
  • Identifyingthe training & development needs for the sales team through one on onereviews and coming up with training and coaching plans to increase their skillsto ensure high professional standard is achieved and maintained.
  • Take the lead in the development of new customerrelationships while maintaining existing one s through the effectivecommunication and servicing individual needs in line with the sales policy.
  • Managing the setsales team objectives, action plans and activities to ensure effective visitsto the farms, stockists, distributors & co-operatives for growth.
  • Schedulingand performing customer surveys and giving reports.
  • Conductperiodic performance appraisals for the customers and sales team against theset targets.
  • Manage,evaluate and analyze the gathering of market intelligence to identify theemerging needs and gaps for the new products usage and competitiveness.
  • Establishingand building relationships with distributors and stockists to ensure productsget to end users as efficiently as possible.
  • Identify emerging markets and market trends whilebeing fully aware of new products and competition status in terms ofquality, price and service delivery.
  • Maximizing market penetration and expansion, inall the regions.
  • Adhering to all the Company policies, proceduresand business ethics and codes, and ensuring that they are communicated andimplemented within the team.
  • Providing regular, routine and adequatecommunication and reports to the management with regards to the salesperformance, market news, customer news, competitor news

  • 3. SPECIALSKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Experience insales and marketing of animal feed related products.
  • Good peoplemanagement, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellentnegotiation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • 4. EDUCATIONREQUIREMENTS

  • Have a Degree in Sales and Marketing from a recognized institution.
  • 3 to 5 years’experience working as a Sales Manager in FMCG sector.
