We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments and other duties.

Bookkeeper job duties include working closely with our accounting teamto create and analyse financial reports and ensure legal requirementscompliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoicesand tax payments.
Our ideal candidate holds an certificate in Accounting or Bookkeeping and is familiar with accountingsoftware packages, like Quickbooks and others.
This role relates to the day to daybookkeeping services for small sized businesses.
Although previous experience in thisarea is desirable, it is not required.
Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, supplier’s ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
Bring the books to the trial balance stage
Perform partial checks of the posting process
Complete tax forms
Enter data, maintain records and produce reports and financial statements
Process accounts receivable / payable.
Complete Periodic Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Good understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable / receivable principles
Willingness to learn and understand tasks associated to aManagement Accountant (such as journals and balance sheetreconciliations)
Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
Data entry skills along with a flair for numbers
Hands-on KNOWLEDGE with spreadsheets and proprietary software
Proficiency in English / Swahili and in MS Office
Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Certificate in Accounting(KASNEB)
