Our client a pioneer in the modernization of supply chain within FMCG seeks to bring on board a Strategically inclined and entrepreneurial individual to fill the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) role.

    Location : NAIROBI,KENYA


    The HRBP will provide end-to-endgeneralist HR consulting and advisory support to management and employees withinassigned business functions, developing and directing an HR agenda that closelysupports the functions’ strategy, goals and objectives.


  • HR Advisory : Provide HR consulting andadvisory support across a range of people issues to the assignedfunctions. Design and co-deliver highimpact, innovative solutions that meet the needs of the functions supported.
  • Participatein and contribute to assigned function’s annual and quarterly planning cycleincluding budgeting.

  • Strategy Alignment : Oversee the implementation of peoplemanagement policies, routines and tools to support the assigned functions inachievement of their strategic objectives.
  • Support the implementationof suitable HR strategies, policies and practices and participate in businessplanning and ensure alignment of HR strategy and delivery with business goals.
  • Policy Development : Workin collaboration with the HR leadership and Line Managers to develop andregularly update HR Policies and procedures.
  • Sensitize staff on the company’sHR policies and procedures and ensure adherence and understanding of the HRPolicies by all staff.

  • Frequently review and audit staff compliance and addressgaps identified;
  • Workforce Planning andTalent Management : Jointly with the various heads of departments to definejob requirements; provide guidance in assessingorganizational structures and implementing structural changes.
  • Update jobdescriptions and conduct comprehensive work force & succession planning toensure all functions and sub functions are appropriately staffed at optimalcost.

  • Performance Management : Formulate and implement arobust performance planning, appraisal, recognition and reward system.
  • Collaboratewith the business leaders in the creation of a high performance culture byimplementing team and organizational design solutions and lease with LineManagers to drive productivity;
  • Reward Management : Work with the Chief HROfficer todesign and implementrelevant compensation and benefits to attract and retain the right caliber ofemployees and value for the organization.
  • Regularly benchmark and reviewcompensation and benefits policies to ensure compliance with legal andregulatory requirements and general HR best practices, recommending revisionswhere necessary;
  • Learning and Development : supporting the departmental Heads in conducting training needs analysis,collate information on staff training and development needs and identify suitableinterventions with a clear plan to implement career progression guidelines.
  • Employee Relations : Provide a conducive working environment through adequate and open communicationchannels, staff welfare programmes, quick and effective resolution of staffdisputes.
  • Change Management : Builda case for change and engage key stakeholder, initiate and drive change whilstovercoming resistance and create an agile, flexible and responsive environmentin which transformation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human ResourceManagement, Social Sciences or related field from a recognized University;
  • A minimum of 6 - 8 years ofprogressive experience in human resources management, three (3) of which shouldbe at a HR partnering level in a busy corporate organization;
  • Higher Diploma in HR Management. CHRP(K) will be an added advantage;
  • A valid practicing license ispreferred;
  • Demonstrated Knowledge and experience handlinghuman resources;
  • Member of Institute of Human Resources Kenya(IHRM).
