  • Job Description

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing high qualitybusiness strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short term andlong term objectives
  • Leading and Motivatingteam members to advance employee engagement to develop a high performingmanagerial team
  • Overseeing all operationsand business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and areconsistent with the overall strategy and mission
  • SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

    Strategic

  • Work with the Directors on thedevelopment of strategies, programs and policies to promote the company
  • Direct the company in keepingwith the vision outlined for the company by the Directors
  • Operational objectives areclearly and well communicated internally (staff and Board) and externally(stakeholders)
  • Along with the Chair of theBoard, lead quarterly board meetings
  • Facilitate the creation andmaintain a Strategic Plan for the company that will be reviewed by the Board ofDirectors every 3-5 years for adjustments, exclusions, or new goals to stayrelevant, effective and successful
  • Managerial

  • Ensure that the organisation isprovided with financial resources necessary to fulfill its mission and achievekey objectives
  • Work closely with the FinancialOfficer / Manager to prepare annual budgets, complete risk analysis on potentialinvestments, and advise the Directors with regard to investment risk and return
  • Provide the Board with clearand logical understanding of staff performance and responsibility
  • All management systems accordwith government requirements and incorporate current best practice
  • Create and maintain coreexpertise within the organisation
  • Increase retention of skilledand experienced staff
  • Ensure staff undertakingpersonal and skills development training.
  • Monitor KPIs for departmentsand staff
  • Oversee quality controlthroughout the company, establishing goals for each department in partnershipwith the department heads
  • Leadership

  • Provide leadership and ensurethe overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation
  • Ensure that the company is wellregarded by its key stakeholders due to its professionalism, effectiveness,leadership and achievements
  • Ensure activities or crises areappropriately managed whilst maintaining key objectives and focus andmitigating adverse outcomes
  • Manage, lead and inspire thestaff of the company
  • Oversee the planning andexecution of an annual retreat that includes all staff and board members
  • Sales and Marketing

  • The production andimplementation of the annual sales and marketing plan and regular assessment ofthe results
  • Ensure that appropriateand effective marketing techniques, technologies and support services aredeveloped and integrated into marketing plans and programmes.
  • Liaise closely with industrypartners to address the seasonality patterns and explore new opportunities todrive business in tough months
  • Effective planning, budgetingand management of all marketing resources through the careful monitoring ofexpenditure and analysis of return on investment in conjunction with the BusinessDevelopment Manager
  • Represent the company asrequired, including attendance of important functions, industry events andpublic meetings
  • Develop and conduct an annualmeeting to stakeholders
  • Manage, negotiate and renew anypartnership agreements with external vendors and suppliers and keep the Boardof Directors informed on the progress and outcome
  • Lead expansion to new markets
  • Daily activities

  • Direct administrative activities directlyrelated to making products or providing services
  • Prepare staff work schedules and assignspecific duties
  • Review financial statements, sales oractivity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity orgoal achievement or to identify areas needing cost reduction or programimprovement
  • Manage the movement of goods into and out ofproduction facilities to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, orsustainability of operations
  • Performsales field work, such as visiting clients or assisting customers, meetingthe sales team

  • General Manager Requirements :

  • Educationbackground in a business related field
  • Atleast 3-8 years’ experience in automotive or production (3) in asupervisory role or management
  • Goodknowledge of different business functions
  • Experience in developing and implementingstrategic and business plans
  • Knowledge of profit and loss, balance sheetand cash flow management and general finance and budgeting
  • Ability to build consensus and relationshipsamong executives, partners, and the workforce.
  • Understanding of human resources andpersonnel management
