Job Summary

Our client is looking for a Human Resource Manager who will lead and provide guidance on human resource matters. She / he will be responsible for the management of staff affairs, training, development and implementation of HR policies, payroll and strategic HR planning in collaboration with the owners.

Your overall purpose is to maximize the productivity of the organization by optimizing the effectiveness of the employees.

You will also coordinate the organizations’ staff to achieve specific business objectives, fulfill staffing needs, and maintain employee satisfaction.

  • Job Description

    Main Duties and Responsibilities include

    Functional Role

  • Carry out in-house training courses in line with training needs which you will identify and plan external trainings accordingly.
  • Appraisals and KPI management
  • Oversee the recruitment process of new staff and build up an internship program
  • Develop and implement the HR policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain a compensation and benefits plan for the employees
  • Align company employees with the company strategic goals and objectives
  • Payroll management
  • Ensure compliance with all HR laws and regulations
  • Strategic Role

  • Act as a strategic partner to the organization by understanding mission, vision, values and organizational direction, goals and objectives.
  • Facilitates strategic organizational meetings and provides advice to assigned organizational leadership.

  • Works closely with country office / project management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks;
  • participating in professional societies.

  • Maintain employee engagement by being actively involved in employee surveys and focus groups.
  • Support regional staff as an HR Partner and / or mentor / train / coach local HR staff, as assigned.
  • Communicate organizational changes and assists managers and employees, as needed.
  • Develop monthly / quarterly metrics to strategically manage staff turnover.
  • Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Master’s degree plus six (6) or more years of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s degree plus ten (10) or more years of relevant experience in Human Resource Management or similar field from an accredited university OR equivalent years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with HR leadership to implement process improvements, policies and HR programs is required.
  • 2+ years international / multi-country HR experience navigating employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices is required.
  • 2+ years administrator or advanced user experience with a Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) is required.
  • Experience in creating and running training workshops
  • Hands-on experience with payroll systems and software
  • Solid understanding of labor legislation
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Ability to foster healthy employee relations
  • A mature and experienced outlook
  • A manufacturing industry background would be an advantage
  • Have knowledge and relevant work experience of not less than 5 years, with at least 3 years in management roles
  • Expert knowledge in training management or community project management in corporate organizations, essential for this role
  • Have demonstrable knowledge and experience in Team Management, Project Management, Managing Partnerships, Capacity building and facilitation, Monitoring and Evaluation, Knowledge Management, People Management, and Relationship Management.
