We are looking to hire a Head of sales and operations who will be responsible for meeting sales targets, managing logistics, and leading and managing a sales team.
The role will conduct analysis on business and total market trends to inform tactical, strategic decisions and operational actions.
The role will be accountable for sales performance and the continuous growth and will ensure value creation and commercial business growth through the establishment and maintenance of strong business relationships with our vendors and other stakeholders.
More specifically the role will be responsible for business growth and the achievement of targets in volume, revenue, market development and new business and staff development.
A university degree.
Atleast 2 or more years managing team management
Atleast 3 5 years’ experience in sales and field operations, preferably in the FMCG industry.
A valid certificate of good conduct from the Kenya Police Service.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills.
Communication skills both in writing and verbally.
Ability to use Microsoft office suite.
This role will also work on Mondays to Saturdays
The role is based on a 70k retainer plus commission.
The role requires a versatile, quick learner and adaptable team player and team developer.
The person will have at least 7 years’ experience in field sales of which at least 3 years must be at the level of a sales manager in a fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) organization.
Achieving sales targets : By ensuring that all routes operating from the appointed depot are visiting the optimum number of vendors, continuously increasing drop size as well as increasing the number of vendors served in their routes.
People Management : Providing leadership and guidance to the team of sales representatives by ensuing their sales targets and how to achieve.
Vehicle and other assets management : Ensure delivery vehicles, weighing scales, crates and other assets are in good condition.
Business Growth : As a leader, advise the business on market trends and which groceries and fresh produce, potential route expansion and any changes to be made to grow sales and customers’ universe areas of distribution.
Customer satisfaction : Our customers are our top priority and we endeavor to meet their expectation. We need to ensure that delivery service is consistently high by ensuring that our FMCG and fresh produce and well price and of high quality.
This by regularly running survey, visiting customers and responding to their concerns.
Must have a valid driving license and be of unquestionable character with outstanding leadership skills.
