Job Summary

The Billing Manager will be a responsible member of the finance team in charge of leading and coordinating the billing function.

  • Coordinate the billing team and meet company deadlinesand KPI’s.
  • Ensure that the required levels of Internal Controlsare in place throughout the billing process.
  • Collaborates and communicates with business managersand other key influencers (such as IT) of the process.
  • Point of contact for any internal / external billingaudits.
  • Maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the billingprocess, in compliance with the Global End to End Order-to-Cash (O2C)process.
  • Analyze, supervise and follow up the establishedmonthly reports and KPI’s.
  • Report any deviation or gap in the process to linemanager.
  • Design and implement the appropriate training tosupport the processes.
  • Reconciliations of execution systems and AR Module.
  • Reconciliation with the business of the billableactivity report vs. billed.
  • Monitor and coordinate progress on unbilled revenueand WIP.
  • Makes continuous improvement and innovation throughinvestigation and recommendations to the O2C Billing Team and linemanager.
  • Review of credit notes prepared for internalapprovals.
  • Prepare complex invoices for billing of customers.
  • Creates an environment that facilitates opencommunication with team members and acts in a professional and courteousmanner when interacting with the team and other departments.
  • Monitoring and balancing the team’s daily workflowprocesses ensuring the department’s efficiency and effectiveness.

  • UniversityDegree in Finance / Accounting required
  • 5years’ experience in financial accounting and financial reporting required
  • Experiencein transacting and reporting in multiple entities and currencies required
  • Experiencein transacting and reporting in multiple business units with multiple profitcentres - required
  • Experiencein large quantity item listing for multiple level price lists and contracts -required
  • Experiencein indirect tax transactions throughout Africa (VAT, withholding tax) -required
  • Knowledgeof in-country and international sales invoicing requirements - required
  • Knowledgeof IFRS - required
  • Peoplemanagement skills - required
  • Abilityto adapt quickly and demonstrate flexibility - required
  • Ableto work independently - required
  • Strongteam player and work ethic - required
  • Customerservice oriented required
  • Decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills- required
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material- required

  • Locallanguage level B2, fluent in finance terminology - required

  • Experience(advanced) in working with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point) -required
  • Experience(advanced) in Accounts Receivables and General Ledger modules within systems -required
