Our client is a Hotel based in Nairobi. They seek to hire a meticuloushousekeeping supervisor whose overall responsibilityis to ensure operationsrelating to housekeeping and kitchen stewards are runningefficiently and smoothly.
The jobholder will ensure the housekeeping crew ensure high standards ofservices are rendered at all times.
Inspect cleaningstandards for both offices and common areas.
Oversee staffattendance, discipline, grooming, motivation and career development
Review and advise workschedules and procedures whenever possible
Make timely requisitionsfor materials and any other specified equipment
Ensure proper usage ofmaterials and equipment’s through controlling
Inspect monthly reports,payrolls as submitted by supervisors.
Ensure proper managementof Staff amenities and ensure occupational health and safety standards aremaintained.
Attend to Clientsrequests / emergencies
Conduct periodic auditsto discover areas for development and explore new skills to enhanceproductivity
Facilitate stafftrainings and staff job inductions for recruits
Plan and schedule fordeep cleaning exercises.
Attend weekly / monthlyreview meetings with clients.
Conduct scheduled andimpromptu inspections with clients.
Skills and Qualifications
Diploma / Certificate inHousekeeping / Institution management
30 45 years is preferred
Strong Background inHousekeeping management with 3-5 years’ experience in a cleaning company,hospital or hotel.
Valid Certificate ofgood conduct
Fluent in English andSwahili
Ability to multitask,establish collaborative relationships while working with minimum supervision
Demonstrate high levelsof maturity and integrity in leadership
Results drivenindividual with a strategic approach to achieving their objectives
Computer literate conversant with emails, minute writing and MS Excel and payroll calculations
