Job Summary

Plan content and delivery and use tools to manage multiple social media channels; develop and manage competitions and campaigns that promote the organization and brand

  • Minimum Qualification : Bachelor

  • KeyResponsibilities

  • develop a socialmedia strategy and set goals to increase brand awareness and increaseengagement
  • manage all socialmedia channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, YouTube, LinkedIn andInstagram
  • plan content anddelivery and use tools to manage multiple social media channels
  • develop and managecompetitions and campaigns that promote the organization and brand
  • write engaging blogposts and articles
  • create engagingmultimedia content and / or outsource this effectively
  • form keyrelationships with influencers across the social media platforms
  • manage and facilitatesocial media communities by responding to social media posts and developingdiscussions
  • monitor and report onperformance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics
  • manage junior staffsuch as a social media executive or assistant where necessary
  • educate other staffon the use of social media and promote its use within the company (in-houseroles)
  • regularly liaise withclients via telephone, email, conference calls or face-to-face
  • Key Requirements

  • Facebook and or Google certification will be an added advantage
  • a solid understandingof the use of a range of social media platforms, particularly in relation toadvertising / branding and customers
  • strong editing andwriting skills suitable for each platform, from knowing how to write asuccessful tweet to using effective storytelling techniques
  • knowledge andunderstanding of algorithms and search engine optimization
  • creative skills forcontributing new and innovative ideas
  • strong verbalcommunication skills for articulating ideas to colleagues and clients
  • organizational skills,with the capacity to prioritize and work across multiple projects
  • the ability to workwell under pressure and meet deadlines
  • data analysis skillsand statistical prowess to draw actionable insights
  • online communitymanagement and customer service skills to strike the balance between publicityand stimulating direct discussion with potential and actual customers
  • an eye for detail andthe ability to work accurately
  • Excellent team workand networking skills.
  • Graduate degree inbusiness management, marketing (particularly digital marketing), media andcommunications or public relations.
  • Any IT backgroundwill also be an added advantage.
