    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assisting in daytoday running of the HR Department
  • Employeerecruitment- Liaising with agencies, shortlisting, scheduling interviews andinterviewing
  • Induction of newstaff by issuing offer letters, employment contracts and job descriptions
  • Contracts- Issuenew contracts, renew contracts and give offer letters
  • Disciplinarysystem Handle all disciplinary issues by sitting in the hearings, issuingwarning letters, suspension, termination and summary dismissal.
  • Listen andsolve staff conflict and grievances

  • Stafffiles-update staff data and ensure all records are available
  • PerformanceManagement- Ensure all employees are performing as expected and conductingperformance evaluation and appraisals quarterly
  • Leave management-Work closely with HOD’s to ensure employees are taking their leave days asrequired and update accordingly
  • Induction andorientation of new employees
  • Create, updateand maintain staff’s Job descriptions
  • Conduct exitinterviews for employees leaving the company
  • Ensuring staffdata has been documented including NSSF, NHIF and PAYE
  • Managing time andattendance of the staff
  • Arranging andfollowing on staff training and development
  • Checking onOccupational Health and Safety
  • Ensuring that theHR operations are in compliance with the laws of Kenya and keeping abreast ofthe changing emerging trends.
  • Updating staffdata both in the files and computer
  • Leave management

  • Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree or HigherDiploma in Human Resources Management
  • 3 5 years’experience in the same capacity in a busy manufacturing set up
  • Good peoplemanagement skills
  • Leadership andsupervisory skills
