Inclusive Finance project(IFP) of the Swisscontact is urgently seeking a qualified Project Accountant to manage the Finance department.
Swisscontact, the Swiss Foundation forTechnical Co-operation, with its Head Office in Zurich, Switzerland, is anindependent foundation involved in development cooperation.
It was establishedin 1959 by a fraternity of Swiss private business people and universities. Swisscontact is currently implementing 126projects in 36 countries throughout Asia, Africa, Latin America and EasternEurope, promoting economic development.
In East Africa, Swisscontact isimplementing a Financial Services project, which provides technical assistanceand capacity building for the financial sector players.
The goal of the projectis to ensure provision of accessible and affordable financial services anddeepen access to financial services for smallholder farmers, excludedhouseholds, microfinance graduates and MSMEs.
The project is implemented underthe following projects; Mavuno Saving and Lending Groups, Microleasing,Innovation Lab, Organizational Development of Savings and Credit Co-operativesand Microfinance Skills Development for which this concept is developed.

INCLUSIVE FINANCE PROJECT
Reporting to the Inclusive Finance Project Manager / Regional Director
Annually (calendar year) renewable contract subject to performance and availability of funds
Responsibilities / Duties / Tasks
a. Maintain project accounts and reportingmonthly and annually to Head office.
b. Management of expenditures and budget control
c. Management of the payroll and maintenance ofpersonnel records.
d. File statutory deductions and ensurecompliance with all tax regulations concerning the project.
e. Assist the project manager and coordinatorswith budget planning and control
f. Plan and manage the annual audit process andgive feedback on audit queries.
g. Oversee procurement of office supplies fixedassets in compliance with Swisscontact procurement procedures.
h. Financial reporting to the donor in conjunctionwith Head office
i. Management of petty cash.
j. Coordinate transfer of project funds
k. Ensure maintenance of an asset register forthe project
Qualification and Experie nce
a. Minimum of bachelor’s or higher degree inAccounting , Finance or Economics
