  • Preparing, planning and project managing the publication of all publicity material to maximise brand promotion.
  • Creating marketing campaigns and working with the company's external PR agency to see them executed.
  • Creating and developing new innovative ways to communicate the company message to their existing customers.
  • Contributing to the annual sales and marketing plan.
  • Planning and project managing marketing events and evaluating their success.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of all marketing activity.
  • Developing and implementing an internal marketing programme.
  • Supporting the sales and marketing manager in day to day marketing activities.
  • Plan, develop and deliver campaigns / events as agreed within timescales.
  • Design, build and maintain the firm’s social media presence through targeted advertising
  • Run social media marketing campaigns that attract as many people as possible to like the company on social media,
  • Manage all social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc.)
  • Create social media hype about the company online
  • Create and maintain the company's blog with clear, well written, thoroughly researched and engaging content / articles on the firms’ products and industry trends
  • Convert online leads into actual sales through effective client engagement.
  • Monitor online media, information sources (visitors’ data) and social channels
  • Ensure the organization's web reputation is protected at all times
  • Job Specifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, sales, or relevant field
  • FMCG Sales & Marketing Experience (min. 5 Years)
  • Management and onboarding of Ecommerce Business
  • Experience with Jumia selling via seller centre
  • Social Media experience with facebook and Instagram proven experience and should be able to showcase work
  • Creatives : able to work with design software
  • Website management and SEO optimization
  • Ability to research and create marketing calendars and follow through with implementation and review
  • Budgeting
  • Marketing campaign management
  • Market Research on competitor activity, consumer trends etc.
  • Geographical and cultural Knowledge
  • Understanding of mass market and different demographics and ability to design content to be able to connect with the same
  • Market Knowledge / Intelligence
  • Tissue Product Knowledge
  • Order management / reporting skills
  • Customer Service Management CSR Retention etc
  • The Marketing Officer oversees the company’s marketing campaigns both internally and externally and plays a key part in communicating the organisations marketing message.
