Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for developing ESHS technical documents and procedures for the projects
  • Assist project supervision and ESHS coordinators with safety disciplinary measures and enforcement when necessary.
  • Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventive measures on ESHS.
  • Audit environmental health and safety programs
  • Perform site inspections to confirm compliance with the safety programs
  • Provide corrective action recommendations to address risk, changing conditions and promote continuous improvement.
  • Comply with all health and safety policies and practices
  • Broadly apply knowledge and principles, concepts and techniques in the field of environmental health and safety
  • Assist in establishing safety culture within the assigned sites
  • Recommend improvements to and provide technical review of EHS tools, processes, policies, and training
  • Continually review leading indicators from audit summaries, daily observations and injury statistics to propose structured programs to continually lower risks associated with potential accidents and loses to assigned projects.
  • Share data with the operations director to develop safety trends

  • Monitor and follow on the company’s safety issues at project sites
  • Participate in contract proposals, negotiations, and modifications as required
  • Carry out day to day evaluation on the project in order to ascertain compliance with ESHS
  • Education, Skills and Experience;
  • Bachelors degree in Safety Sciences, Environmental Science or closely related field from and accredited institution.
  • 5 -10 Years of relevant experience
  • Ability to interact and influence others at various levels in the organization as well as external agencies
  • Advanced knowledge and demonstrated application of ESHS good practices
  • Ability to develop, evaluate, and implement site specific ESHS programs, training, policy and practices
  • Experienced and skill to conduct research, investigate alternative solutions and recommend needed change
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented project environment
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and / or other ESHS standards preferred
  • To be responsible for Documentation of Environmental, Social, Health & Safety Processes for Project Management.
